Comparison
Assurna vs Convoso, dialer against record.
Convoso is a serious outbound contact centre platform with a compliance suite that is deeper than ours. Assurna is a CRM whose core happens to be a dialer, built so that the call, the quote, the application, and the issued policy are the same record.
That is the actual choice, and it is not a choice between good and bad software. This page sets out what each product publishes about dialing modes, calling rules, pricing, and insurance records, links every claim to the page it came from, and gives Convoso a full section to itself where it is ahead. Convoso
What Convoso is, in its own terms.
Convoso is an outbound contact centre platform built around a multimode dialer, sold to organizations running a team of agents on the phone all day, including a number of Medicare and senior health agencies it names publicly.
Its dialer is the product. Convoso's own material distinguishes the modes plainly: a power dialer dials numbers in sequence, one after the other, while a predictive dialer uses algorithms to predict when agents are available and dials multiple numbers at once. Predictive dialing is a shipping capability there, and it is not one Assurna claims.
Around the dialer sits a compliance suite that is genuinely substantial and is worth reading in full: an Attempt Control Manager that caps how many times the same number is dialed in a window across every campaign, a Message Control Manager for voicemails, do-not-call scrubbing against internal, federal, and state lists before dialing, a Reassigned Numbers Database check, StateTracker for state-specific mini-TCPA dialing rules, agent dynamic scripting to keep disclosures in front of the agent, and STIR/SHAKEN attestation on outbound calls.
Pricing is not published. Convoso's pricing page says it provides customized solutions based on each customer's unique needs, such as number of seats, features, and integrations, and notes that carrier fees are typically billed separately from the software subscription. That is a normal way to sell contact centre software, and it is a real difference from a published rate card rather than a criticism.

The short answer
Which one you should pick, stated before the table.
This one turns on a single question: is the thing you are buying a dialing engine, or a system of record that dials.
Choose Convoso if you are buying dialing capacity
If you run a large agency, need predictive dialing, and your compliance exposure is the kind that wants a Reassigned Numbers Database check and per-state calling rules applied automatically, Convoso publishes tooling for all of that and Assurna does not. If your agency already has a system of record it is happy with and the gap is raw outbound throughput, buy the dialer.
Choose Assurna if the gap is between the call and the policy
If your agents are already talking to people and the pain is that the recording, the quote comparison, the application, and the issued policy live in four places, then a better dialer does not fix it. Assurna carries leads, quotes, applications, and policies as records on the same lead the call created, and reports persistency, not-taken-out, and chargeback rates by producer against them.

Assurna's figures come from its published pricing and its capability pages, and the bounds are stated there: predictive dialing is not claimed, the application hands off to the carrier, and the compliance features are operational safeguards rather than a guarantee of any regulatory outcome.
Where Convoso wins
Where Convoso genuinely wins, including on our own strongest ground.
Compliance is the argument Assurna leads with, and on published tooling Convoso is ahead of us. Saying that plainly is the price of being worth citing at all.
Its published compliance suite is deeper than anything we claim
StateTracker applies state-specific mini-TCPA dialing rules, the Attempt Control Manager caps how many times one number is dialed in a window across every campaign, do-not-call scrubbing runs against internal, federal, and state lists before dialing, and there is a Reassigned Numbers Database check to catch numbers that have moved to a new person. Assurna checks consent, calling hours, and internal do-not-call before the dial, and claims none of those other four by name. If your exposure is the kind that wants all of them, that is a real reason to pick Convoso.

Predictive dialing ships there and is not claimed here
Convoso's own material describes predictive dialing that uses algorithms to predict when agents are available and dials multiple numbers at once, connecting an agent only when a live contact is reached. Assurna ships preview, power, and progressive, and treats predictive as a conversation for larger agencies rather than a feature we advertise. An agency big enough that predictive is the deciding capability should take that seriously.

It signs its calls, which matters more every year
Convoso states that it signs outbound calls with the highest level of attestation under the STIR/SHAKEN framework. As carrier-side call labelling gets more aggressive, attestation is increasingly the difference between a call that rings and a call that shows up as spam likely. Assurna treats the health of your outbound calling as an operational property of the system but does not publish an attestation claim, and you should weigh a published claim above an unpublished one.

There are 395 published reviews, and there are none of ours
Software Advice shows Convoso at 4.5 out of 5 from 395 reviews as of 2026-09-02, including reviewers who identify as working in insurance. Assurna has no customers to reference and no review profile. If your decision rule is that someone else should run a system for a few years before you put your agency on it, that rule points at Convoso, and it is not an unreasonable rule.

What reviewers say
What published reviewers actually say.
Quoted as published, positive and critical, from Software Advice. Software Advice, Capterra, and GetApp share one review pool, so this page cites one of them rather than presenting three as independent agreement.
“I've tried several dialers in the past and so far convoso has been one of the easiest and nicest looking dialer.”

Questions
What agency owners ask when they compare the two.
If the answer you need is not here, bring the question to the demo call and we will answer it against your agency rather than in general.
- Is Convoso a CRM?
- It is an outbound contact centre platform, and its insurance page describes it as dialer software for insurance agents. It carries leads, dispositions, and contact centre reporting. We found no documented carrier, commission, chargeback, persistency, or quote object on that page, so an agency that needs those generally keeps a separate system of record and reconciles the two. Assurna carries leads, quotes, applications, and policies in the same system as the calls that produced them. Verified 2026-09-02.

- What does Convoso cost?
- It is not published. Convoso's pricing page says it provides customized solutions based on each customer's unique needs, such as number of seats, features, and integrations, and that carrier fees are typically billed separately from the software subscription, so a quote is the only way to get a number. Assurna publishes Starter at $99 per seat per month and Pro at $199 per seat per month, both with calling minutes included, and scopes Agency and IMO plans on a call. Verified 2026-09-02.

- Does Assurna do predictive dialing like Convoso?
- No, and we do not claim it. Assurna ships preview, power, and progressive modes set per campaign. Predictive is a conversation for larger agencies rather than a shipping feature, and if predictive is the capability that decides your purchase then Convoso publishes it and we do not.
Source: Convoso predictive dialer (accessed 2026-09-02)
- Which has better compliance tooling?
- On published tooling, Convoso. Its compliance page names StateTracker for state mini-TCPA rules, an Attempt Control Manager, do-not-call scrubbing against internal, federal, and state lists before dialing, a Reassigned Numbers Database check, and STIR/SHAKEN attestation. Assurna checks consent, calling hours, and internal do-not-call before the dial and adds a per-call compliance review a human signs off on, and claims none of those other items by name. The difference in our favour is where the check sits: in Assurna it is in front of the dial on the same record that later holds the policy, so a complaint ninety days later resolves to one place.

- Do agencies run both?
- Some do, and it can be a sensible arrangement while an agency is mid-migration. The cost of running both is the one this page exists to make visible: two systems means the recording is in one and the policy is in the other, and reconciling them is manual work somebody on your team is doing every week. Bring your current setup to the demo call and we will be straight about whether replacing one, both, or neither is the right move.

Is the gap your dialing, or your records?
Bring the question to a demo. If the answer is dialing capacity, we will tell you so and you will have spent half an hour. If it is the four systems between the call and the issued policy, that is the part we built.
